Success consists of many
elements. A good plan, smart decision making,
careful strategizing, research and goal setting.
But, above all, the success or failure hinges on
your ability and willingness to explore, realize
and then embark on self improvement where needed.
More importantly realize what assets you do
possess; i.e your seeds of greatness.
What are these seeds? Simply
put, it's who you are, what you believe and what
you do with that belief.
What do I believe to be my
greatest strengths?
What do I believe to be my
greatest weaknesses?
What do I really want to achieve
in life?
What limits do I place on
myself?
What obstacles do I allow to
hamper my success?
What am I afraid of?
What is the best thing that
would happen if I went all out toward my goals?
What is the worst thing?
What steps can I take each day
to move toward where I want to be?
Do I take responsibility for
where I am in all aspects of my life?
Once these questions have been
answered (honestly!) you are ready to develop a
plan for moving to where you want to be. To
develop this, look carefully at your answers.
Whatever your answers are, they are okay. There is
nothing wrong with them (if you want to stay where
you are.)
If you are ready to move
forward, imagine yourself answering each question
with the opposite or more positive degree of what
you have written.
For instance, for limits you may
have written "I don't believe I can earn more
than $30,000 per year."
Imagine instead that your answer
is "I don't believe I can earn LESS than
$300,000 per year." Feel the power behind the
second answer. Just reading it is empowering!
Do this with each of the answers
that you have written.
The next step is to write down
what actions you can (and will) take to move
yourself in the direction of the second answer
that you have listed for each question.
Be a little risky. Push yourself
beyond the norm and past your comfort zone. Anyone
who has ever experienced great success in anything
will tell you that you must get out of your
comfort zone to truly achieve what you want.
Set a time limit for achieving
what you want.
The last step is often the most
difficult and where many people lose sight of
their vision. You MUST put your plan into play.
It's time to take action. Every day, determine
what you must do to move toward changing each
original answer to the desired answer.
Each night, before you go to
bed, read the second set of answers that you have
listed. Ignore those first answers completely.
They no longer have a place in your life.
As you do this on a daily basis
you WILL begin propelling yourself toward your
goals. You will be amazed. You will begin saying
and doing things that you never dreamed you could.
You will experience a strong shift in your
attitude. Things will begin to come easier to you.
It may not seem like it at first, but be patient.
Stick with it! Strong, unseen forces are at work
on your behalf. The potential of your subconscious
mind is astounding.
As time progresses, you will
become much clearer on what you truly want, what
you are willing to sacrifice and do to achieve it
and what you are not willing to accept in your
life. Your feelings of self-worth, self-confidence
and self-esteem will soar to new heights. You
realize that nothing can stop you from success!
On occasion, when an old,
limiting behavior pops up, you will know just how
to turn it around and take the action necessary to
move beyond it. Your seeds of greatness will
mature with every step. And new seeds will be
planted to help you along the next leg of your
journey. You will know who you are, you know where
you are going and you know what it will take to
get you there.
